A season full of Norwegian achievements!
The Norwegian alpine skiing season has kicked off with some historic highlights!
Outstanding performances and unforgettable moments are setting the standard for what we can expect in the World Cup. Although we regrettably have to do without Aleksander Aamodt Kilde this season, the team has shown its strength in the fight for hundredths of a second. We are cheering on Aleksander and can’t wait to see him return stronger than ever!
A historic start in Sölden
The season began with strong results from the Norwegian women. Thea achieved her personal best in Sölden with an impressive 6th place, while Mina secured 9th place. Both athletes show great promise for the rest of the season.
On the men's side, history was made in Sölden with Norway’s first-ever triple podium in giant slalom! “Sander” Steen Olsen, Henrik Kristoffersen, and Atle Lie McGrath delivered a performance for the history books.
Consistency in Levi and Gurgl
In Levi, Henrik Kristoffersen displayed his class by climbing nine places in the second run to secure 2nd place. With five Norwegians among the top 25, the team showcased its incredible strength. In Gurgl, Atle Lie McGrath claimed his second podium of the season with a solid 3rd place.
Birds of Prey and a breakthrough in Beaver Creek
At the iconic Birds of Prey in Beaver Creek, the Norwegian team shone once again. Fredrik Møller had his breakthrough moment with an impressive 4th place in Super-G. In the giant slalom, Atle Lie McGrath took 4th place, Henrik Kristoffersen 5th, Sander Steen Olsen 9th, and Timon Haugan secured a respectable 24th place.
